To make a day of it

Manoir de La Perrière stands in Voivres-lès-le-Mans (Sarthe), in the Pays de la Loire region of France. No visits are on record for this building.

The manor of La Perrière stands in Voivres-lès-le-Mans, within a former farming estate in the Sarthe region. Built before the 13th century by a rural knight, it keeps the unusual shape of a great hall formed of three adjoining naves, under an exposed timber roof rebuilt in the 18th century. Traces of aligned fireplaces in the walls show that each nave once had its own hearth. Long used as a barn, the building survived the centuries through continued farm use rather than formal preservation.
