La famille de la Chaume était propriétaire de fiefs dans la région de Corbigny. Son historique est connu au 15ème siècle, époque où fut édifié le manoir. Une légende miraculeuse s'attache à cet endroit lui conférant une dimension poétique. Le manoir présente des caractéristiques renforçant son intérêt patrimonial. En effet, le rez-de-chaussée et l'étage abritent deux belles cheminées gothiques. Elles conservent un décor héraldique de qualité des années 1500, taillé dans la pierre. Les baies, surmontées d'arcs en accolade, sont encore munies de leurs meneaux et traverses moulurés ainsi que de leurs vantaux de bois d'origine. Il convient également de mentionner la charpente à chevrons formant ferme.
