Schloss Waldsee stands in Bad Waldsee (Landkreis Ravensburg), in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Recorded dating: 16th century. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Schloss Waldsee stands in Bad Waldsee as a former moated castle, built in the mid 16th century for the von Waldburg family and reworked in Baroque style during the 18th century. Its main facade still carries the crested gable added by Count Maximilian Maria von Waldburg during that remodeling, and the adjoining chapel keeps a domed ceiling painted with a fresco by Eustachius Gabriel. The estate also includes outbuildings from the 17th and 18th centuries and a garden, originally laid out in formal style before being turned into a landscaped park in the 19th century. Still owned today by the princely Waldburg zu Wolfegg und Waldsee family, the building now serves mainly as a venue for private events rather than as a museum open for regular tours.
