Its origins go back to the 11th century, though the building seen today took its current form from 1745 onward, built upon a Renaissance structure raised around 1550 by the Waldburg family. The main façade is marked by a gable rising the full height of the roof, bearing the Waldburg coat of arms and a clock. Since the family stopped living there at the end of the 20th century, the upper floors have been divided into commercial spaces and are also rented out for private events.
