Schloss Vischel is a moated manor house overlooking the Vischelbach valley between the villages of Berg and Kreuzberg, in the Ahrweiler district. Its origins may trace back to a medieval stronghold recorded as early as the 9th century, though the building seen today was erected around 1829, possibly on the old foundations. Three coats of arms on the facade recall the families who held the estate over time, de Maistre, von Gymnich and Wolff-Metternich. Privately owned and still inhabited, the house is now used mainly for hosting events and gatherings.
