Schloss Stietencron stands in Schötmar, a district of Bad Salzuflen, surrounded by a landscaped park open to visitors. Built between 1729 and 1732 for a Swedish and Hessian state minister, the house underwent several later alterations, most notably a neoclassical remodelling in 1913 that moved the main entrance to the south front. The building now houses the Bad Salzuflen music school, while its park is used for concerts and public events. The rococo hall inside is still used for weddings.
