Schloss Rügland stands in Rügland (Landkreis Ansbach), in Bavaria, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Schloss Rügland is in fact a pair of adjoining buildings, the Old and the New Schloss, raised a century apart by the von Crailsheim family in the village of Rügland. The Old Schloss, with its chapel of St Elisabeth, dates from the early 17th century, while the New Schloss was completed in 1717 as the first major work of architect Karl Friedrich von Zocha, who later served as court master builder in Ansbach. The complex endured the Thirty Years' War, briefly hosted the deposed Bavarian king in 1848, and suffered heavy damage in a 1945 bombing.
