Schloss Rahe stands in Laurensberg (Aachen), in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Schloss Rahe stands in Laurensberg, a district of Aachen, on the site of a former moated stronghold whose origins go back to the 13th century. The present building results from a late 18th century transformation carried out under Gerhard Heusch, who had the old water-surrounded fortress rebuilt into a four-wing manor house, inaugurated in 1787. The estate still holds interior stucco decorations by the Italian artist Petrus Nicolaas Gagini, and its history touches figures such as Tsar Alexander I and Queen Henriëtte d'Oultremont. Today the building serves as a business centre and also hosts conferences and events.
