Built in the 15th century as a moated stronghold, it was expanded during the Renaissance and Baroque periods into the representative seat of the Alsdorf lordship. Visitors today see two brick wings meeting at a right angle, painted dark red, dominated by a round 15th-century tower, along with two surviving outbuildings from the former outer bailey. The main building now houses municipal offices, while the surrounding park is freely accessible.
