To make a day of it
Schloss Peseckendorf stands in Oschersleben (Bode) (Landkreis Börde), in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Schloss Peseckendorf stands at Oschersleben (Bode), in the Landkreis Börde, Saxony-Anhalt, on the site of an earlier Renaissance castle of the lords von der Asseburg, which was completely torn down in the late nineteenth century. The present neo-baroque manor house, built between 1905 and 1912 by the noted architect Paul Schultze-Naumburg for owner Friedrich Schaeper, echoes Schloss Sanssouci in Potsdam in its garden facade. The landscaped park still holds ponds and a 25-metre tower, first used as a lookout and later as a water tower, while Georg Kolbe's Four Seasons sculptures that once crowned the entrance portal are now kept at the Börde-Museum in Burg Ummendorf.
