Schloss Martinfeld stands in the village of Martinfeld in Thuringia, where the von Bodungen family had it built in 1611 as their manorial seat. This small Renaissance building, covering some 750 square metres of living space, is marked by a round stair turret topped with a slate-clad three-part roof and by a portal with a scrolled gable and an inscribed lintel.
