Schloss Lindenau stands in Lindenau (Landkreis Oberspreewald-Lausitz), in Brandenburg, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Schloss Lindenau stands in the village of Lindenau in southern Brandenburg, on the site of a medieval motte dating back to around 1200. The present building grew out of a Renaissance structure erected from 1584 onwards and altered several times over the centuries, gaining two neo-baroque wings in the early twentieth century that gave it the look of a three-winged complex around a courtyard of honour. Owned successively by several noble families, including the counts and later princes zu Lynar, it was used as a children's home for much of the second half of the twentieth century before being stripped of its interior fittings. The building currently stands empty, awaiting restoration.
