Schloss Leerodt is a ruined moated manor set in the Wurm valley between the villages of Süggerath and Müllendorf, within the town of Geilenkirchen. First recorded in 1308 as a knightly seat, the building was reshaped into a stately residence during the 16th and 17th centuries by the von Leerodt family, giving it the appearance of a Dutch Renaissance manor house. Two wings were already pulled down in 1840 due to disrepair, and the remainder suffered heavy damage in the bombing of November 1944. Still privately owned by the Schütz von Leerodt-Wrede family, the site today survives as a partial ruin.
