To make a day of it

Schloss Tüschenbroich stands in Wegberg (Kreis Heinsberg), in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

Schloss Tüschenbroich stands on an island in a mill pond near the village of the same name, west of Mönchengladbach. The site originated as a medieval motte first recorded in 1172, though the buildings seen today result from a Baroque brick rebuilding carried out in the seventeenth century after the earlier stronghold burned down during the Thirty Years' War. The grounds also include a former half-timbered oil mill, now used as a glass art studio, and an early Baroque octagonal chapel standing in the nearby woods. The Schloss remains privately owned.
