To make a day of it
Schloss Krobnitz stands in Reichenbach/O.L. (Landkreis Görlitz), in Saxony, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Schloss Krobnitz stands in the village of the same name, part of Reichenbach/O.L. in the Landkreis Görlitz, Saxony. Built as a Baroque manor house for the von Uechtritz family around 1750, it was reshaped between 1873 and 1875 by the Prussian field marshal Albrecht von Roon, who acquired the estate and gave it its present neoclassical appearance, adding a full upper floor and an octagonal viewing tower. Restored in the early 2000s, it now houses a museum on the history of the estate and on von Roon himself, and serves as the seat of a regional museum association for Silesian Upper Lusatia. The surrounding landscape park, redesigned in the same period, still contains the remains of a family burial vault.
