To make a day of it
Schloss Ismaning stands in Ismaning (Landkreis München), in Bavaria, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Ismaning Palace, in Ismaning, now serves as the town hall, which explains its well preserved condition. The building goes back to a Renaissance residence from 1530, remodeled in Baroque style between 1716 and 1724 under prince-bishop Johann Franz Eckher, with the involvement of Johann Baptist Zimmermann. Two rooms survive from the neoclassical redesign commissioned by Eugène de Beauharnais and his wife Augusta of Bavaria in the 19th century. As a working municipal building, visiting is largely limited to its exterior and public areas.
