Schloss Ichstedt stands in the village of Ichstedt, part of the town of Bad Frankenhausen/Kyffhäuser since 2019, in Thuringia. Despite its name it was in fact a relatively modest manor house, built on the site of an earlier medieval moated castle that once guarded a crossing of the Helme river. The main building, gutted by fire in 1970, now survives only as a ruin, while an adjoining manor wing from the early 18th century still stands nearby. Visible remains include a massive tower-like residential structure with rounded corners, reminiscent of the Hohes Haus at Schloss Beichlingen.
