Schloss Falkenhaube is a small former hunting lodge standing between Himmelkron and Bad Berneck im Fichtelgebirge, within the latter's municipal area. It was built for Margrave Georg Wilhelm of Brandenburg-Bayreuth and used as a base for heron hawking, a form of falconry. Its chinoiserie-inspired shape is said to loosely resemble a falconer's hood, which gave the building its name. As it was never meant for extended stays, the structure remained deliberately simple.
