To make a day of it
Schloss Dahlen stands in Dahlen (Landkreis Nordsachsen), in Saxony, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Dahlen Castle stands in Dahlen, in the Nordsachsen district of Saxony. Built in the mid 18th century for Count Heinrich von Bünau, it is best known for a single historic moment: within its walls, in February 1763, Frederick the Great of Prussia signed the final act ending the Seven Years' War. A fire in 1973 destroyed the central section of the building, leaving the side wings and foundations as remnants of a residence once decorated with ceiling paintings by Adam Friedrich Oeser. A local association has since worked to preserve and restore the site.
