To make a day of it

Jagdschloss Wermsdorf stands in Wermsdorf (Landkreis Nordsachsen), in Saxony, Germany. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

The Jagdschloss Wermsdorf, also known as the Altes Jagdschloss, is a 17th century Renaissance hunting lodge in Wermsdorf, Saxony, built near the forests that drew Saxon electors to the area in the early 1600s. Its irregular three-wing layout is marked by tall stepped gables with volutes, a finely carved sandstone oriel window, and a stair tower topped with a domed lantern. The building went through several construction phases, from its founding under Elector Christian II to renovations carried out for King Albert of Saxony in the late 19th century. Over the centuries it served in turn as an administrative seat, a riding school and housing.
