Schloss Bruckberg stands on the northern edge of the village of Bruckberg, in the Landkreis Ansbach, on the site of a medieval stronghold whose original form is now unknown. The present building, raised in 1727/30 for the margravine of Ansbach, forms three wings around a courtyard open to the west, though its façades and interior were left unfinished after her death halted the works. From 1763 it served as a porcelain manufactory, and in the nineteenth century the philosopher Ludwig Feuerbach lived in its south wing. Since 1891 the complex has belonged to a deaconess institution running a residential home for people with disabilities.
