Schloss Benkhausen stands in Espelkamp (Kreis Minden-Lübbecke), in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Schloss Benkhausen is a former moated castle built between 1657 and 1683 on an estate first recorded in 1510, in Espelkamp, in the Kreis Minden-Lübbecke, North Rhine-Westphalia. Long owned by the von Münch and later the von dem Bussche-Münch families, it was requisitioned by British forces after 1945, later served as a care facility, and since the early 2010s has operated as a training and hotel complex under the Gauselmann family. The historic park, laid out again along its eighteenth-century geometric lines, and a barn housing the Deutsches Automatenmuseum are open to visitors, while the manor house itself is used for the training centre's activities.
What to know
- The main house is not open for independent visits, it now functions as a training centre and hotel.

- A roughly two-kilometre circular trail, opened in 2018, leads through the adjoining woodland and meadows to the Mittelland Canal.
- The estate also hosts civil weddings and occasional events such as a Christmas market.
