Schloss Baruth stands in Baruth/Mark (Landkreis Teltow-Fläming), in Brandenburg, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Schloss Baruth consists of two separate complexes, the Altes Schloss and the Neues Schloss, both raised on the foundations of a 13th century stronghold. Home to the Solms-Baruth family for more than three centuries, the estate still bears the marks of a fire that struck during the Thirty Years' War and of successive extensions carried out between the 17th and early 20th centuries. The surrounding 22 hectare landscape park was laid out in 1838 by Peter Joseph Lenné and divided into a denser, wooded northern section and an open southern one. Archaeological digs on the grounds have even uncovered traces dating back to the 12th century.
