To make a day of it
Schloss Dahme stands in Dahme/Mark (Landkreis Teltow-Fläming), in Brandenburg, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Schloss Dahme stands today as a stabilised ruin, the remnant of a baroque secondary residence built in 1713 and 1714 for the Dukes of Saxe-Weissenfels on the foundations of an older stronghold. The central block and its two wings still trace the layout designed by Johann Christoph Schütze, despite demolitions, lost furnishings and unfinished rebuilding work carried out from the nineteenth century onward. Steel structures and walkways now allow visitors to move through the roofless interior, which was opened to the public in 2005.
