Schloss Schenkendorf is a neoclassical-style villa built in 1896 for Rudolf Mosse, the Berlin publishing magnate, set within roughly sixteen hectares of natural parkland. Modelled on Italian country houses and faced with brick and render, the two-storey main building long served as the Mosse family's summer residence. A fire in 2014 left the house badly damaged, and visitors today mostly experience it from the surrounding grounds rather than from within.
