Schloss Lieberose stands in Lieberose, in Brandenburg, on the site of a moated castle first recorded in 1301. The von der Schulenburg family, who held the manorial lordship from 1519, built a three-wing Renaissance residence here, later transformed in the 18th century into a large baroque complex of four wings. The building suffered heavy damage from bombing in 1945, which led to the demolition of the north wing and part of the west wing, and the clock tower later collapsed in 1975. Visitors today can see a plain baroque facade facing the park, along with 17th-century stucco ceilings with mythological scenes in the east wing.
