Burg Friedland (Niederlausitz) stands in Friedland (Landkreis Oder-Spree), in Brandenburg, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
The Burg Friedland stands in the small town of Friedland in Brandenburg, on a site first recorded in 1301 as castrum et oppidum Vredeburch. A fire destroyed the castle in 1623, leaving only its roughly two-metre-thick outer walls and vaulted cellars, before it was rebuilt during the 17th century under the Order of Saint John. Today visitors can see a three-storey residential tower, a surrounding wall with small defensive turrets and a bastion, and a knights' hall with heraldic paintings on its ceiling. The castle now houses a library and a tourist information centre and hosts changing exhibitions and open-air summer theatre.
