Schloss Archshofen stands on the site of a former moated castle (Wasserburg) in the village of Archshofen, part of Creglingen. First recorded in 1267, when it passed to the Teutonic Order, the building was destroyed more than once, including in 1391 and 1462, before being rebuilt around 1570 and altered again after a fire during the Thirty Years' War. Its east wing was demolished in 1949 due to disrepair. The present structure, a three storey square stone building with a hipped roof, stands next to the Protestant church and can be viewed from the outside.
