Schloss Ammerland stands in Münsing (Landkreis Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen), in Bavaria, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. No visits are on record for this building.
On the shore of Lake Starnberg, Schloss Ammerland actually consists of two separate buildings: an older castle dating from the 16th century, tucked away out of sight, and a newer castle built in 1683/85 for a prince-bishop of the House of Wittelsbach, distinguished by its twin onion-domed towers in the style of the Wessobrunn school. Still privately owned, the property underwent major restoration after coming close to ruin. It is not open for interior visits, but its architecture and lakeside setting can be admired from outside.
