Palais Schaumburg stands in Bonn (Bonn), in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. No visits are on record for this building.
Palais Schaumburg stands in Bonn on the bank of the Rhine, within the former government quarter, close to the Villa Hammerschmidt. Originally built as a private villa in the mid 19th century, it was enlarged several times before becoming, from 1949 to 1976, the seat of the German chancellor and, from 2001, his secondary official seat. The building keeps the character of a grand bourgeois residence turned seat of state, shaped by the successive owners who extended it, among them Prince Adolf of Schaumburg-Lippe, who gave the palace its name.
