To make a day of it
Kretschmanns Hof stands in Leipzig (Leipzig), in Saxony, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Recorded dating: 20th century. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Kretschmanns Hof is an office and commercial building in central Leipzig, at Katharinenstraße 17, connected by an inner passage to the neighbouring house known as Blauer und Goldener Stern. Built in 1912 to designs by Leipzig architect Max Fricke, it stands on a plot formed by merging three properties and kept the name of an earlier building owned since 1871 by a man named Kretschmann. The roughly thirty-metre-wide sandstone facade is divided into seven bays, the central three projecting slightly from the second floor upward and rising into a large gabled dormer. Today the glass-roofed inner courtyard houses the Leipziger Pfeffermühle cabaret.
