To make a day of it
Klettenburg stands in Frankfurt am Main (Frankfurt am Main), in Hesse, Germany. No visits are on record for this building.
The Klettenburg, also known as Clettenburg and later Augustenburg, was a moated stronghold built by the lords of Praunheim in what is now the Praunheim district of Frankfurt am Main. Standing in the marshy Steinbach valley, it had already fallen into disrepair by the 18th century and was eventually torn down, leaving no visible remains. A farm estate belonging to the counts of Solms-Rödelheim was later built on the site before the area was developed into housing in the 20th century. Only street and field names such as Augustenburgstraße and Am Alten Schloß still mark its former location.
