The Kemenate Ziegenrück is the surviving residential tower of a medieval stronghold overlooking the Saale valley in Ziegenrück. Built in the 15th century, it once served as living quarters for a fortress under the rule of the Vögte of Plauen. Set high above the river, it remains a recognisable landmark of the region. The building itself cannot be entered by visitors, only viewed from outside.
