Heidenhäuschen stands in Waldbrunn (Westerwald) (Landkreis Limburg-Weilburg), in Hesse, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Heidenhäuschen is not a castle but a volcanic ridge of the Westerwald range, rising to 397.9 metres in the municipality of Waldbrunn, Hesse. The site combines geology and archaeology: basalt flows from an extinct volcano lie alongside traces of Celtic ramparts and a long tradition as a Frankish court site. Visitors come to walk up to the summit, cross a field of scattered basalt boulders, and see a small pilgrimage spring established at the foot of the hill in 1885.
