Haus Dülmen stands in Hochstift Münster (Kreis Coesfeld), in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Recorded dating: 12th century. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Haus Dülmen was a stronghold of the Hochstift of Münster, built in the 12th century on an artificial mound in what is now the Hausdülmen district near Dülmen, in the Kreis Coesfeld. Founded as a motte in 1115 by Bishop Burchard von Holte, destroyed and later rebuilt in stone with a surrounding wall, it served administrative and military purposes for centuries, including during the Münster Anabaptist conflict, before being torn down in stages during the 16th and 18th centuries. No standing structures remain today, making the site a matter for archaeology rather than for a standing monument visit.
