Gut Panker refers both to a rural estate and to the manor house also known as Schloss Panker, in Schleswig-Holstein. The property's history goes back more than five hundred years to the von Rantzau family, who held it before the current main building took shape around 1650. It later passed to the Counts of Hessenstein and then to the House of Hesse, which still owns it today through the Hessische Hausstiftung. Around the manor, the former farming village has developed into a destination with craft workshops, galleries and places to eat.
