To make a day of it

Burgruine Speckerturm stands in Bad Endorf (Landkreis Rosenheim), in Bavaria, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. No visits are on record for this building.

The Burgruine Speckerturm is what remains of a small medieval stronghold set on a rocky spur at 530 metres above sea level, east of Hirnsberg, a district of the municipality of Bad Endorf. Today only a tall section of core masonry survives, rising 7.5 metres, belonging either to a residential tower or to a square bergfried, the last trace of a fortified site that originally measured 20 by 25 metres. The structure is believed to have been built in the 12th century by the lords of Hirnsberg, vassals of the counts of Falkenstein-Neuburg, likely as a secondary stronghold to the nearby Burg Hirnsberg.
