To make a day of it
Burgruine Neuravensburg stands in Wangen im Allgäu (Landkreis Ravensburg), in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
The Burgruine Neuravensburg is today reduced to a single, isolated keep, the last trace of a castle that for centuries served as the administrative center of the Abbey of St. Gallen's holdings north of Lake Constance. Sold in 1829 to the Kingdom of Württemberg after passing through the hands of the princes of Dietrichstein-Proskau, the building was put up for sale and torn down between 1831 and 1841, except for this tower, which withstood the demolition crews. A residential area has since grown around it, leaving the keep as the sole visible reminder of the former lordship.
