To make a day of it

Burgruine Densberg stands in Jesberg (Schwalm-Eder-Kreis), in Hesse, Germany. No visits are on record for this building.

The Burgruine Densberg stands at the western edge of the village of Densberg, a district of the municipality of Jesberg in northern Hesse. Of this small castle, originally built on a rocky spur, only scattered wall remains survive today, cut off from the former outer bailey by a deep ditch. The old moat now holds a disused open-air stage that once hosted summer theatre performances. The appeal of the site lies chiefly in its turbulent history of repeated destruction and rebuilding amid conflicts between Mainz and Hesse.
