Burg Steuerwald stands in Hildesheim (Landkreis Hildesheim), in Lower Saxony, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Recorded dating: 14th century. No visits are on record for this building.

Steuerwald Castle stands north of Hildesheim in Lower Saxony, built as a bishop's retreat away from an increasingly assertive city. Erected between 1310 and 1313 and later enlarged under Bishop Otto II, it served as the de facto episcopal residence for more than two centuries. Its 26-metre keep, the surviving north and west wings of the palas, and the Romanesque St Magdalena's Chapel remain from the medieval complex. The grounds are now used by a riding club and are not freely open to visitors.
