Burg Stammeln stands northwest of Heppendorf, within the municipality of Elsdorf. This former moated manor house, built of brick, retains two sixteenth-century wings with sturdy corner towers, while its eastern wing was added around 1900. The older sections still show a projecting battlement pierced with arrow slits, and two round-arched gateways survive, one bearing the date 1666. The property today remains in private use, combining rental housing with a riding stable.
