Burg Rotenzimmern is the ruin of a spur castle standing 575 metres above sea level over the Schlichemtal valley, near the hamlet of Rotenzimmern in the municipality of Dietingen. Built in the first half of the 14th century by the lords of Rotenzimmern, it consisted of an outer bailey and a main fortified section divided by a ditch. Surviving remains include sections of the curtain wall, a thick shield wall, and the round base of a keep eight metres in diameter.
