Burg Kocherburg stands in Unterkochen (Ostalbkreis), in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. No visits are on record for this building.
The Burg Kocherburg is a ruined hilltop castle east of Unterkochen, a district of Aalen, built over an earlier prehistoric fortification. First linked to the lords of Kochen in the 11th century and later administered by Ellwangen Abbey, it was rebuilt as a Renaissance residence in the 17th century before being destroyed by Swedish troops during the Thirty Years' War. Now hidden within a beech forest, the site offers an archaeological trail around its remains, including a well preserved stretch of the shield wall and reused bossed ashlar stones.
