To make a day of it
Burg Häringstein stands in Ebingen (Zollernalbkreis), in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. No visits are on record for this building.
Burg Häringstein, also known as the Ebinger Schlossfels, marks the remains of a spur castle above the Schmiecha valley, overlooking the Ebingen district of Albstadt. Built around 1100 by the lords of Ebingen or of Häringstein, it was abandoned in the first half of the 13th century. Little of the medieval stronghold survives on the ground, but the rock has carried an observation tower since 1899, erected after archaeological excavations. Beneath the tower lies a cave known as the Hexenküche, or witch's kitchen.
