To make a day of it

Burg Bring stands in Edertal (Landkreis Waldeck-Frankenberg), in Hesse, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. No visits are on record for this building.

Burg Bring is the ruin of a small hilltop castle that once overlooked the Eder valley near Bringhausen, in the municipality of Edertal. After the Eder dam was built in 1914, the remaining castle mound became what is now known as the Liebesinsel, an island within the Edersee reservoir. Only low wall remnants survive, mostly foundations and cellar traces, wrapped in local legends of knights and guardian spirits said to watch over hidden gold. This is not a standing building to tour but a historic site whose accessibility depends on the water level.
