Burg Bodenhausen stands in Friedland (Landkreis Göttingen), in Lower Saxony, Germany. No visits are on record for this building.
Burg Bodenhausen is a medieval castle site reduced to earthworks, standing on a rocky spur east of Ballenhausen, part of the municipality of Friedland. Founded in the 12th century by the lords of Bodenhausen, it was destroyed and rebuilt several times during local feuds before a final attempt at reconstruction failed around 1400. What survives today is the shape of the terrain itself, rock cut ditches and mounds marking where towers once stood, with no standing walls left.
