The Geiselhöring site refers to the remains of a medieval motte, an earthen mound that no longer carries any standing castle structure, near the hamlet of Greißing, part of the town of Geiselhöring. The mound, roughly three metres high and some twenty metres across, lies close to the small parish church of St. Ulrich and a stream called the Kleine Laber. An excavation carried out in the early twentieth century uncovered pottery fragments, animal bones and traces of charcoal, though no built structure remains visible above ground. Farm buildings now cover part of the site.
