The Astros estate in Vidauban, in the Var department, brings together two châteaux on a single working property: a 17th-century bastide built by the Knights of Malta, known as the old château, and a 19th-century house inspired by Italian villas, known as the new château. The latter still holds a central staircase topped by a painted dome, salons decorated with gilded stucco, and an Aubusson tapestry. The grounds, laid out around a plane-tree avenue and a garden called the Four Seasons, complete this listed ensemble. The estate is currently run as a vineyard and orchard.
