What the French Ministry of Culture records
Tourves devient une possession des Valbelle au 17e siècle. Le château et le parc vont subir de nombreuses transformations au 18e siècle. Pendant la Révolution, le château est saisi comme bien d'émigré et le mobilier dispersé. Le parc, créé par le comte de Valbelle entre 1767 et 1777, est dévasté quelques années plus tard lorsque le château sert de garnison avant de brûler en 1799.
