Pendant la Révolution, le château est saisi comme bien d'émigré et le mobilier dispersé. Le parc, créé par le comte de Valbelle entre 1767 et 1777, est dévasté quelques années plus tard lorsque le château sert de garnison avant de brûler en 1799.
